Field Trips (3rd)
District's Policies:
- If parents drive (even their own child) they must complete a Request to use Private Vehicle for Transporting Students form. It must be approved by the district office. The insurance company needs to provide proof of coverage. Minimum of $100,000/$300,000 coverage for bodily injury liability and $25,000 property damage liability per each accident.
- Parents are NOT allowed to bring siblings on field trips.
- All volunteers must have a Tuberculosis test on file in the office. This includes chaperoning on field trips. Tests must be renewed every 4 years. Thank you for your cooperation.
FYI:
- Attire: Wear our class tee shirt: Due to weather pending and extensive walking, it's best to dress in layers and wear comfortable walking shoes.
- Food: Pack snack, lunch, and drinks in disposable bags clearly labeling your child's name. Food should not require refrigeration, heat, or extra attention upon lunch time. You may order lunch bag from school but it has to be 3 weeks in advance and it won't be the same hot lunch that is served on that day. The lunch bag usually has a jelly sandwich, an apple, a milk carton, and a bag of crackers.
- Chaperones: Wear comfortable attire and walking shoes because you'll be chaperoning 4-6 students, pack your snacks and lunches, bring a backpack to store students' snacks and lunches, and have fun with us. Some field trips will require chaperones to pay for the entrance fee.
