5th Graders have many activities during their last year at Ruskin. As part of their academic curriculum, they will attend Science Camp at Walden West (in the Santa Cruz Mountains above Saratoga) for five days. They will also have opportunities to mentor Kindergarteners (Little Buddies), participate in team building activities, work with Acts of Random Kindness student leaders from Piedmont Hills High School, become Ruskin Leadership members, and perform in school plays. The 5th grade teachers also work to prepare the students for a smooth transition to middle school.
