Third grade is such an exciting year! We learn to write cursive and write stories, poems and journals. We enjoy learning math strategies, understanding multiplication  and doing other math activities. Our reading is the District's basic reading series, also enhanced by reading chapter books, biographies and other literature.  Oceans, the study of the moon, habitats and food chains, and the dissection of a squid are an integral part of our science learning.  We love going on field trips to the Tech Museum, Monterey Bay Aquarium and the Public Library. Of course, we love physical education, to learn to be a team, and improve our motor skills. Being eight is really great!
